What you'll need
An underbody coating schutz gun is just a very basic air operated spray gun, so you will need the following equipment to use it. 

• A compressor (at least 2hp, the gun requires 90psi of air pressure and 8cfm of air consumption)
• An air line and fittings (to connect the gun to the compressor)
• Protective glasses or goggles.
• The product you want to spray through the gun (we'll come to that later)

 Safety
As when using anything that is operated by compressed air it is a bare minimum requirement that you wear some sort of eye protection such as glasses or goggles.
It is also recommended that you wear some sort of overall to protect your clothes.
If the product you wish to spray gives off any toxic fumes you will need to make sure you are in a well ventilated area and use an appropriate protective face mask. 

Products you can spray

• Stonechip (an overpaintable product for lower spoilers and sills that leaves a flexible protective layer)
• Underseal/Schutz (this material gives a thick, textured protective coating to wheel arches and chassis members)
• Waxoyl (Waxoyl is a rust preventative fluid that can be sprayed into concealed areas with the use of an injector probe supplied with the gun)

How to use it

As I've already stated the underbody coating schutz gun is just a very basic air operated spray gun so it is very easy and quick to use. The only real tip, with the product you spray being quite thick, is to have a bucket of hot water handy to stand it in before use as this "loosens" it up a bit and allows for better flow.(Waxoyl can also be thinned with white spirits to achieve a similar result). Apart from masking up the areas you don't want painted and making sure your surfaces to be painted are dry and clean there's very little else to do

in the way of preparation.

When applying the stonechip or schutz you use nice even strokes of the gun to give you a nice level finish.

When applying the Waxoyl you can attach the injector probe to the end of the guns nozzle

 to enable you to get into those hard to reach places.

Afterwards

After you have finished using your underbody coating schutz gun it can be cleaned with conventional gun wash thinners.
